It was a hot summer day; perfect for Chef Sharp’s chilled corn soup, cool bubbles and a splash in the pool. Club Solage members enjoyed the 5th Anniversary celebration and I was fortunate enough to document the fun!

{iron chef morimoto} auction week | napa valley 2011

It was a memorable Auction week this year with bids being raised higher than ever and rain falling down, a first ever! Auction Napa Valley is the most successful charity wine auction in the world and to date has given over 100 million to scores of non-profit programs.  Every year I am fortunate enough to be able to photograph one of the memorable aspects of auction week and this year it was Iron Chef Morimoto.

The first night held at Garguilo Vineyards, Morimoto & his spectacular team prepared a nine course dinner that left guests speechless. Here are a few of the images from the two spectacular events. Saturday morning, that same group got to learn sushi making skills from the master himself at his new restaurant in Napa.

Erin Lail of Honeydew Napa Valley always exceeds my expectations when she plans Napa Valley events. This particular  surprise birthday dinner was truly an original! Her clients were treated to a beautiful al fresco dinner atop a flatbread truck overlooking a beautiful vineyard at sunset. Chef Graham Jones treated them to a amazing dinner & Joe Galambos treated them to acoustic guitar. What a night!

Whenever I get a call from Allyson Taylor, I know that I’m in store to photograph some amazing Napa Valley events. She researches some of the best that this valley has to offer and gives her clients an experience that is unforgettable. This particular week was a series of events for ten couples. The guests stayed at Auberge De Soliel and enjoyed a cooking school at Cakebread Cellars, winetasting & dinners at Hall Rutherford, Kuleto & Kelham winery.

{Amazing Planners = Amazing Events}

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with the fabulous Honeydew Napa Valley to document a beautiful weekend!  The first night was a more causual setting  in the Red Barn at Nikel & Nikel.   The next night was  tented and they created a gorgeous  Black Tie affair complete with an amazing chandelier.  Honeydew Napa Valley teamed up with Grant Rector of San Francisco to bring celebration in Napa Valley to a whole new level.  This fall I will be working with this dynamic duo again …I can’t wait !
