Simple truths. This incredible time in your life is fleeting. The moments are vivid and the emotions are pure. There is nothing like it and once it is gone you will have these. Images. Images of the simple life that once was. When they were babes and you shared little moments. Moments like these.

For me, it is about slowing down and listening. Listening to the stories that soon will be only relayed through memories. In our busy lives sometimes we easily forget. We all know that realization… a moment lost, a conversation that should have taken place, a story that needs to be told. It is because of this realization that I am so proud to be apart of this upcoming Exhibit. But first…a little info:
Memory Bank II is Preservation Napa Valley’s 2012 community preservation project: an annual, intensive endeavor to celebrate and build awareness for the cultural heritage of Napa County. Partnering with the Napa Valley Museum, subjects have been gathered from eight county areas, from American Canyon to Calistoga. Six professional photographers and one filmmaker are capturing the people and places during an era of great transition in Napa’s history.

I was fortunate enough to work with three subjects, whose stories and lives touched me. I so enjoyed walking with them and hearing their stories all while being given the immense task of telling just a bit of their story on film. It was an honor and I’m excited with the result.
Here are just a few of the images. I invite you to come to The Napa Valley Museum ( http://www.napavalleymusem.org) to enjoy the rich lives of these history makers in our valley’s heritage.
I love walking the vines after a good rain. The rich soil satiated, now bursting with green. The tiny buds pushing out to greet the sun, The birds… swooping, singing & greeting the new season.
Just a couple of months ago this amazing little guy came into the world. What was life like before his sweet smile, wiggley toes and warm snuggles? I am pretty sure that these two beautiful parents have no idea!
Early Saturday AM:
Right now a lovely un-expecting woman is waking up on a gorgeous Napa Valley morning. What she doesn’t know is that in a few short hours her boyfriend will ask for her hand! (and I get to document it- Ninja-photographer like) Good stuff!
Ok…I’m getting nervous. They should appear any moment.
There they are. Oh my…look at her smile. She is beyond thrilled. SO surprised and just giddy with joy! He pulled it off- she had no idea and has an amazing proposal story! Oh did I mention…she said yes!
A local client asked me today if I ever shoot bottle shots. Yes. quite often. It is not an area that I advertise nor talk about much, but I do enjoy some quiet studio time at times. I appreciate all of the art that goes into making an amazing bottle of wine and I try to convey the client’s story with my images. Here some of this last year’s work.

thank you little Noe for bringing us out into a crisp fall day; I enjoyed every moment!
This little one just couldn’t wait to see the world! Her mom & I had scheduled last minute maternity photos but she decided to make her presence known before I had a chance to photograph her momma’s belly. So, we decided to photograph this beautiful little one instead. (Ironically, her big sister came hours after our maternity shoot two years ago…I should have known! )
I couldn’t get enough of her big blue eyes, adorable pudge & slender little toes! Once she slept her mom and I coo’d at her little grunts & pursed lips. What a doll! Congrats Mom, Dad and big sisters Tate & Luca!!
It is always an honor to be contacted by another professional photographer to shoot their images so I was thrilled when Kendra let me know that she was traveling from the East Coast & would like to incorporate some photos into their family vacation. We spent a lovely evening (albeit a bit buggy) letting her son wander & discover. This little one cracked me up – he has a sense of humor that would put most adults to shame & he kept me smiling the entire shoot. It won’t be long until the next little one joins her big brother running through the vines. I will be sure to save some dirtballs for you little guy! xo
If you are local to NJ- be sure to check out Kendra’s beautiful work: http://www.kendrakrishnanphotography.com/
Combine a beautiful summer evening with ocean breezes, cool waves & sand between the toes and you are bound to have happy little ones. (I think the adults were pretty happy as well!) I’ve been photographing this family since the youngest was merely a bump in his mommy’s tummy and now he shares in his sister’s wonder & is constantly discovering his world. Little Lily was experiencing one of life’s little joys of running into the cool water and dancing in delight! My favorite moment was the cuddles they gave each other…always makes me melt! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with me each year…how lovely you are!
it’s always a joy to watch some of the amazing women in my life become mothers. this fine mama is no exception. little johhny is a delight & this babe is one lucky little man….surrounded by so much love! just look at his how his parent’s look at him!
i love this little ones curls & adorable expressions…here are just a few:
It was a memorable Auction week this year with bids being raised higher than ever and rain falling down, a first ever! Auction Napa Valley is the most successful charity wine auction in the world and to date has given over 100 million to scores of non-profit programs. Every year I am fortunate enough to be able to photograph one of the memorable aspects of auction week and this year it was Iron Chef Morimoto.
The first night held at Garguilo Vineyards, Morimoto & his spectacular team prepared a nine course dinner that left guests speechless. Here are a few of the images from the two spectacular events. Saturday morning, that same group got to learn sushi making skills from the master himself at his new restaurant in Napa.
Baby steps…into the future. Two years ago, I was fortunate enough to photograph this beautiful couple on their romantic Napa Valley wedding. Now, their sweet love has brought a cheerful energetic little guy – full of personality! It’s just one of the joys of my profession…following, documenting & sharing these love stories!
