I know some of you are waiting patiently for your imagea and I I just wanted to post to let everyone that during this time of year I appreciate your patience! Every year my business grows in leaps and bounds. This year, has been no exception. Fall is the craziest time of year for me and my business. I’m finishing wedding season, shooting commercial client’s harvest & bottle shots, shooting some amazing Napa Valley events and I am trying to whip out all the summer weddings edits. It is also a busy time with Holiday portraits, album designs & holiday cards being ordered. In addition, the annual auction design & photography business has begun! Hmmm…do I sound a bit buried?
I am so amazed and thankful about the love, support and excitement my clients, friends & family have for my work. I value my work and quality more than you may know, so it is hugely important to me that my clients receive my best quality, and sadly, that just takes time. So…once again…thank you and please… know that your work will arrive soon and with my personal stamp of approval…I promise!
In addition, I may be slower than normal during this time of year returning emails and phone calls, but I assure you all, I am working my bootie off to get all caught up!
Currently, I am (almost) booked through November and have a few spaces in December, so if you still want to book a holiday portrait…please contact me asap!
I do appreciate all your love, patience and kindness!
When Wenny contacted me eight months ago…I just knew this was going to be a fun wedding. For her smiles come easily & she and Todd know how to laugh. I can’t tell you how many images of them cracking up I have! They wanted the photos to be fun so along with my norm, we decided to go for a little photo session in the boxing ring. I must say…that is a first for me! I love it…my couples just continue to keep it fresh!

You captured so many amazing moments I didn’t even know we did…and I was there…and sober! I might pee my pants waiting to see the rest! I know we want a copy of the slideshow. - I’m so glad that I checked my email this morning! What a treat to see these beautiful shots that you’ve taken of the wedding! Some of the images are just breathtaking! Thank you so much for the wonderful attention to detail. You and Brian were a pleasure to have at our daughter’s wedding. I will recommend you to any and all that might ask! You were professional in your style and you were both so attentive to the evening’s goofy and tender moments. With our growing family, I will look forward to having you take family shots as well….
- Oh my god, Briana, these are GREAT! We just watched the slide show together and were taken back to our wedding day. I got goose bumps. Amazing…. Thank you so much. We can’t wait for the disc.
- I can’t stop watching the beautiful slide show of Molly and Mike’s wedding! You are truly an artist and your pictures reflect your talent, warmth, creativity, sense of imagination and wonder. Thank you so much for capturing every lovely moment of Molly and Mike’s wedding celebration.
- Forgive the massive delay in THANKING YOU for the fabulous pics you got at our birthday/engagement weekend. They were incredibly special moments that you captured. You managed to catch the emotion of the weekend, as well as the events and people. It was remarkable. And I actually rarely saw you around – you were completely out-of-site. How did you do it? THANK YOU for your great pictures. My Dad cried when he saw them and asked for a CD of the pictures/slide show with music. I’m so happy you’re available for our wedding! We can’t wait!
Ok…can you see now why I love what I do???
Karen & Craig could not have been a sweeter couple! Their emotion was real & their love is so genuine. Oh, and the light behind the vineyard…simply decadent!

I know Karen and Craig are waiting patiently for their wedding images now that they are home from Italy so I thought I’d give them a little teaser. I just love this image of them! More to come soon!
I recently had a wonderful chat with a bride’s mom that I wanted to share. It went something like this.
Mom: I can tell you really love your work! It really shows in all of the love you put into your photos.
Me: *blushing* Yes…it is joyful work and although I work hard…I love what I do!
Mom: Hmmm…and what a joy it must be…your life’s work is too make people smile.
Me: *smiling* yes…and that’s what its all about!
She summed it up perfectly. My ‘work’ is to document joy. Capture smiles. & return those stolen moments to bring yet another smile. love it!
Oh…and did you meet my new assistant? He’s still learning how to properly expose in difficult backlite situations…but heh…he’s only 3! Trevor ( my youngest)
And Brandon ( age 6 .) has a new trademark…just like his mama…freckles! So adorable on him! Here he is being shy about a new tooth coming in!

Susie & Chad are hilarious! Ok…had to get that out! These two and their friends kept us on our toes all day. When Susie told me that there was 26 people in their wedding party, my first thought was…”oh boy…high maintenance”. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Susie and Chad were cool as cucumbers and once I met all 26 of them I could honestly understand…Susie and Chad HAD to be surrounded by these people. They were all so fun and a made the day what it was!
Oh…and did I mention that is was around 105 degrees that day. Didn’t cool the fun at this wedding one bit! Oh, and don’t ask about the toilets…it was Brian’s idea. Now, seriously…how many of you have matching toilet pics in YOUR wedding album!?

I love hearing personal stories of significant anniversaries, amazing birthday surprises & travels to amazing locations…or maybe it’s not an exotic locale but a story of love that is worth it’s weight in gold.
Maybe it’s just the romantic in me coming out. Brian and my anniversary is just next week and we were just reminiscing some of our celebrations. Leave a comment . Tell me your story . Inspire us!
Meanwhile…you may want to check out Tami’s new designs. A wonderful way to treat someone on their celebration. I love seeing my images sealed with the perfect silver art. Check it out & contact me if you would like our work on Tami’s art!
why would I want to shoot weddings? an orchestrated event where everything is planned. the characters . the events . the roles & the duties.
why?
because moments cannot be planned for. love never follows the rules. the characters crumble and the roles mean nothing when the magic of light & love dance.
if i trust the moments to happen . if I follow the love . if I am there…really there, to see those quiet enounters; the ones just before’and just after the ‘planned’ moments.
it is a most awesome gift that people give me and why would I ever give away the chance to return that gift. one image. of one moment. it can be everything.
Happy almost Anniversary to this beautiful couple. I had the pleasure of seeing them as guests in a wedding last weekend and it brings back all of the joy from their wedding!
What a beautiful day! Mike & Molly’s was my kind of wedding; full of warmth, laughter & amazing blue skies! Their dog, Jake, brought a smile to all and was a welcome presence during the ceremony and portrait session.

You may remember this sweet couple from their engagement session…well their wedding was even sweeter! Darlene & Carli at V. Sattui always pull together a beautiful day!

This light makes these sweet moments truly magical. Yum!

Happy Friday!

Wedding season is upon us…take a peak at the last two year’s images in my new portfolo slideshow! Turn up the music and enjoy!
Last week, Oscar called me with his grand plan. ( Gentlemen…take note…this is a great idea!) It was Nancy’s birthday, so he swept her to the Napa Valley for the weekend to give her the time & love she deserved. As they headed out to the their dinner, I walked around the corner to surprise her. She thought that I was there to take portraits of them for a birthday present….
But she got another surprise as well! She said, “Yes, Yes..of course Yes!” Well done Oscar!

He explained to Nancy how his family met with her family to ask for her hand in marrige… so wonderful! She was thrilled to know this detail.
Oscar & Nancy – I wish you the best!
