These three boys were a delight to work with…all with different wonderful personalities and their passion for exploration…a fantastic reminder for us all.The newest baby was a joy…celebrating his sixth months of life on this day! How lucky am I to help celebrate such days.
I’ve been fortunate to work with Angela on weddings with Lulu events but this time I was so thrilled to get to work with her and her sweet family! Dylan couldn’t be cuter!
ten little forest fairies .ten little fairy outfits & a forest princess reading stories & playing music…a dream birthday party for any two year old little girl! what a delight!
Christine & John designed a truly special wedding – one marked with the overwhelming sense of joy … these two couldn’t have been easier to work with. Cool as a cucumber…all day long! Christine had that beautiful contagious smile and John couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. I loved the series of expressions as he watched her approach!
Solage Calistoga always hosts amazing weddings, but I’ve never seen the party go quite this big before! Their friends knew how to dance, laugh & kept the night super fun to the moment I shot my very last image! I also had the pleasure of having Kara of Miroma Photography second-shoot for me that day! Of course, she rocked it… I will post some of her images soon!

I recently had a wonderful chat with a bride’s mom that I wanted to share. It went something like this.
Mom: I can tell you really love your work! It really shows in all of the love you put into your photos.
Me: *blushing* Yes…it is joyful work and although I work hard…I love what I do!
Mom: Hmmm…and what a joy it must be…your life’s work is too make people smile.
Me: *smiling* yes…and that’s what its all about!
She summed it up perfectly. My ‘work’ is to document joy. Capture smiles. & return those stolen moments to bring yet another smile. love it!
Oh…and did you meet my new assistant? He’s still learning how to properly expose in difficult backlite situations…but heh…he’s only 3! Trevor ( my youngest)
And Brandon ( age 6 .) has a new trademark…just like his mama…freckles! So adorable on him! Here he is being shy about a new tooth coming in!
“Get Sassy! Get Crazy! Whoa…we can see you!!” These were just a few of the comments that were made by on-lookers as couples, friends & even groups of people climbed into the photoboof at the last two weddings I worked.
I just want to document my opinion VERY clearly in black ink…err, well…on your screen…that I *LOVE* photobooths at weddings. I think it is such a nice balance with my style of photography. It takes the pressure off to get every single couple’s portrait and it brings out a fantastic fun energy in people. It breaks the ice nicely and eventually even the most camera shy climb on it and get silly.
It is also makes a fantastic guest book option!
Here’s the info from a local favorite whom I highly recommend:

Not everyone can say that they can work with their spouse. Even fewer people can say that they actually enjoy working with them. And wow…how many of us enjoy and work well with their partners?
I am fortunate enough to be able to realize in my husband a new-found love ( and talent) in photography. He has been second shooting on most of my weddings these last few months and we are both pleasantly surprised by how well it is working. We balance each others skills beautifully and he’s able to read my mind like no other. When I began my business, I had no idea how it would evolve. I would like to think that I have my life all planned out…but sometimes when things grow organically it can take a most beautiful shape.
I strongly belive in positivity leading to positivity…just keep putting the positive out there!
These three just kept making me smile…their many expressions & little personalities showed with every image.

Bill & Nikki are planning an amazing wedding in Aruba next summer and I am so thrilled to be this gorgeous couple’s photographer. We decided to do a Napa Valley engagement shoot and they were great sports as we checked out a few local spots. They are such an amazing couple…super chill, fun & are obviously SO in love! Esther & Brandon found love despite the Atlantic divide and choose Solage in Calistoga to bind their marrige. It was a beautiful, blue sky day and they had a touching intimate wedding.
It is always such a compliment when an amazing family arrives at my studio and simply lets the day unfold. The Kaplans arrived and they let go of any pre-conceived ideas and the kids rocked it!

emma & max were an ultimate delight to photograph! we searched for bunnies, ladybugs & tromped through the grasses! their dad even found the strawberry patch! enjoy these images…they are just bursting with “it’s almost summer” goodness!

Shannon & John shared an intimate ceremony in Golden Gate Park. The air was warm, flowers were blooming & their excitement filled the beautiful Tulip Garden. On this St. Patty’s Day I was reminded not only of the luck of the Irish but of the love as well!
